The RCIA is a Rite (a liturgical celebration)
that celebrates the decision of one wishing
to become a Christian in the Catholic Church.

- It is a community event that initiates new
members
- It is a step by step faith journey

| Who Is it for? |
- The RCIA is for those who wish to be baptized,
confirmed, and receive
the Eucharist in the
Catholic Church.

It is for baptized Catholics
who wish to
complete their initiation
through the sacraments
of Confirmation and Eucharist.
- It is for those baptized in other Christian
faiths who wish to enter
into full communion
with the Roman Catholic
church.

| What about the community? |
This journey belongs to the entire parish
community. Perhaps you know a friend, relative,
or spouse who may be waiting for an invitation
to join in the journey.
On behalf of the parish community, individual
sponsors and the RCIA team journey weekly
with the Inquirers who are seeking to know
Jesus and to enter into a personal relationship
with Him. The parish faith community supports
the Inquirers and the RCIA team with their
prayers and hospitality.

| Where and when do they meet? |
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
is a journey that initiates adults into the
Catholic faith community. Meetings will be
held each Thursday evening from September
until Easter. |
