Introducing Fr. Ranjan D'Sa of the Holy Spirit, OCD - Oct 10/10
on Sunday, October 10, Fr. Ranjan concelebrated Mass with Fr. Dominic. Fr. Ranjan accompanied Very Reverend Fr. Archibald Gonsalves, Provincial of the Karntakea-Goa Province, India. They stayed with Fr. Dominic from Oct 9th to Oct 12th to begin to make arrangements for the Nov 1 transition of stewardship of the parish.

Fr. Ranjan D’Sa was born in Mangalore – on the western coast of India, to the south of Goa – on first of March, 1973. He is the last child to his parents, bringing the number of siblings to the perfection of biblical numerology of seven.

After completing high school, he joined the seminary in India. On December 29th 2001, he was ordained to Priesthood. He has earned a Masters Degree in Philosophy, which he studied at the much acclaimed Karnataka University of Dharward, India. Soon after his ordination, Fr. Ranjan taught Philosophy to the young seminarians for three years. He was the first Director of the Pushpashrama Social Work Institute in Mysore, run by the Carmelites and the Director of candidates who wished to joined Carmelite religious life. Before coming to Canada, he lived in New York for three years studying for his Master’s Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Fordham University.

He is presently serving as the Assistant Pastor at Holy Trinity Parish, North Vancouver, B.C.
